Essential Civil War Curriculum
The Essential Civil War Curriculum is a sesquicentennial project of the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies at Virginia Tech. It consists of a vast array of essays on various aspects of the Civil War being written by a stable of Civil War historians. Jack has written three essays for the project — “20 Good Reasons to Study the Civil War,” “The Compromise of 1850” and “Election of 1864” — now available on www.essentialcivilwarcurriculum.com.
